I thought I’d start a (pseudo?)-monthly sciencey blog roundup. Here it is for February:

Enjoy!

  1. My lasting contribution to the chemical company I interned at was a bright purple floor courtesy of crystal violet. But I at least left a note since the spill happened after hours. Thinking back, it is probably a good thing it happened after hours because the safety nuts there would have probably called out the moonsuits as well…

  2. You’re a month out of date! March is month.

(Though I guess this was posted yesterday…)

  3. Err. Zinc fingers month.

(The XHTML guide down below is misleading!)

  4. right, that was the blog roundup for february. i’m slow. but maybe i’ll start rounding up on a semi-monthly basis! i saw the new molecule of the month and already had it queued up for the next roundup.

as for the xhtml guide, i didn’t write it. does it claim you can do something that the site doesn’t actually interpret? sorry! tell me what needs correcting and i’ll alter it.

  5. It says to put the “title” of the link in the href tag, which I (somehow) assumed meant I didn’t need to put in a closing tag. Or something. Ignoring it and using regular ol’ html was fine.

In your defense, the Textile help on the Biocurious comment page also doesn’t tell you how to do things properly, so I should probably look into fixing that too. :)
