ACS feeds revisited
November 21, 2008 at 2:07 pm | sam | wild webThe TOC images returned to JACS RSS feeds, but they’re so small to be worthless. I used Yahoo Pipes to edit the feed to show the “medium” images. Here’s the new JACS RSS feed with medium images.
Alternatively, you can use Mitch’s nice Chemfeeds.
Maybe ACS will fix the feeds, but in the meantime, feel free to use our edited feeds.

I don’t know why the ACS persists in trying to make their webpage as useless as possible. The new cover page to their pdf’s hypes the HTML version, but the HTML version is still ridiculous because you have to click on each figure to expand it to the point where it is readable, so it is impossible to scan the articles, and difficult to read them, so I will still use the pdf, but now I have to go through an extra step of deleting the cover page before I save or print. Really, do they have anyone test their new features before they roll them out?
A picture is worth a thousand words. If I cannot see the graphical abstract, I won’t read the article. I know I’m not the only one.
