  1. We had specs at (a big pharma company I worked at after I graduated undergrad)’s QC labs where we certified the quality of some products to be between 99.9-100.1% pure. These things were typically tested via autotitration methods, and the output was a percentage which, with error, would regularly exceed 100%. So, some of you kids were taking Prozac (or whatever drug it was…) that had constituents coming out of vats more than 100% pure….

  3. This is quite usual way how to express assay when determined using an external standard (which is hardly 100% pure).
